Need-based International Leader of Tomorrow (ILOT) Scholarships are available for undergraduate students at the University of British Columbia (UBC) in Canada for the academic years 2022–2024.

What the Award Is: The University of British Columbia’s (UBC) Canada International Leader of Tomorrow (ILOT) Award honors international students who demonstrate superior academic achievement, exhibited leadership qualities, participated in student government and volunteer work, and achieved recognition in extracurricular activities like the performing arts, sports, debating, creative writing, or external academic competitions and exams.
Based on the financial data that students and their families supply, a standard needs assessment is conducted.

Selection Criteria and Eligibility: The high school they are now enrolled in, the one they just graduated from, or the college or university they are transferring from must nominate award candidates. For the International Leader of Tomorrow Award to be given:
- You must be an international student who has been granted a study permit to study in Canada.
- You must have graduated from a secondary school, college, or other university that is accepted by UBC.
- You must be applying for your first undergraduate degree.
- The English Language Admission Standard as well as general and degree-specific requirements are among the requirements for admission to UBC.
- You must exhibit exceptional academic achievement (a grade point average of at least A or an equal criterion).
- You must show that your financial situation is such that it would otherwise preclude you from obtaining a degree at UBC.
Number of Scholarships: several
Value of Scholarship: Costs of tuition, fees, and living expenses less the annual financial contribution that the student and their family may make to cover these expenses constitute the value of a scholarship.
Duration of Scholarship:: The International Leader of Tomorrow Award is renewable for up to three more years of undergraduate study, or until the student completes their degree, whichever comes first, provided they maintain their Canadian study permit (visa), continue to demonstrate financial need and achieve satisfactory academic standing in their faculty.
How to Apply: The deadline for award nominations for the winter session of 2023–21 is December 1.
