Young Nigerian Guy Indulges In Cassava Processing Work To Persuade Landlord That He Is Not A ‘Yahoo Boy’
A young Nigerian guy has described how he presented himself to his landlord as a trustworthy employee to allay his landlord’s suspicions that he was a Yahoo boy, an internet scammer.
He went to a facility that processed cassava and helped them peel it. The young man made sure he was caught on camera so he could show his landlord.
His motivation for doing this is related to the EFCC’s recent warning that landlords who let Yahoo boys live in their homes run the possibility of receiving a 15-year prison sentence.
Therefore, he made the decision to present himself as a farmer in order to persuade his landlord to confirm that he had a legal employment.
He posted a video of himself in the factory that processed cassava and explained what his landlord did when he saw him.
