Eligibility Criteria for UBC Undergraduate Scholarships
Candidates for UBC Undergraduate Scholarships must meet all of the criteria listed below to qualify:
- Required Language: English is the only language that is required for instruction at UBC. Before being accepted, all prospective students must demonstrate that they have a basic command of the English language.
- Eligible Countries: All countries.
- New to UBC, having just graduated from high school or an institution of higher learning (college or university).
- Be an international student who will be studying at UBC while holding a student visa or study permit (student visa) from Canada. Your eligibility for the IMES may change if your citizenship status changes.
- Show intellectual promise and great academic accomplishment, as well as an outstanding level of extracurricular and community commitment.
- Not be nominated for an International Scholars award based on merit and need.
