Asake is a 27-year-old singer, songwriter, and dancer, born in Lagos State, Nigeria, who goes by the name, Ahmed Ololade Asake. 

Asake started making music in 2018, but before that, he was a dancer, he studied theater and performing arts at Obafemi Awolowo University in Nigeria. When he started making music in 2018, he had some hit singles like Ayeeza and Kanipe, later in 2020, he released his breakthrough song titled, Lady.

Early Life

Asake (Mr. Money) was born into the family of Mr. and Mrs. Ololade a Muslim Family on the 13th of January 1995. He was born and brought up in Lagos. He hails from South West region of Nigeria, the Yoruba ethnic group.

Career

Asake (aka Mr. Money) started making music from a tender age, but before that, he was a Dancer, as time goes on, in 2015 he started making music his priority, later in 2018 and 2019, he released some hit singles like Ayeeza and Kanipe.

In 2019, he joined forces with skit maker Broda Shaggi to release hit single titled Star, but before that he was Broda Shaggi’s backup singer during their performance in shows and events.

In 2020, he released his breakthrough song Lady, The song Lady went viral all over social media and Nigeria at large. Lady paved the way for him which lead to the release of his song Mr. Money and it was among the top trending singles in 2020. His songs were so unique and comprises of Hip Hop, Amapiano, R&B, and Fuji.

The song Omo Ope follows the success of his previous song Mr. Money, Omo Ope was released in 2022, the song went very viral which got to the ear of Nigerian Veteran singer and YBNL boss, Olamide, and he was smitten by Asake talent, and reached out to him. On the 8th of February 2022, Asake became the YBNL family’s new signee.

Afterward, on 16 February 2022, he released his first studio EP in the YBNL family titled, Ololade Asakeb which contains hit singles like Omo OpeSungbaTrabaye, and Baba God.

Sungba, a hit single from his new EP Ololade Asakeb went viral and drew the attention of African Giant Burna Boy who asked for collaboration to the remix of the song, in the 28th of March 2022 they released the Remix of Sungba.

This made Asake a superstar and also gave him the ability to feature top Nigerian singers, he featured Nigeria International Disk Jockey, DJ Spinall on a song titled, Palazzo, which was released on the 13th of May 2022.

Thereafter, he released Peace Be Unto You (PBUY) On the 16th of June 2022.

Finally, On 7th of September 2022 he released a new studio project titled, “Mr Money With The Vibe” which contains hit singles like, Dull, Terminator, Organise, Dupe, Muse, Joha, Nzaza, Ototo, Reason and Sunmomi.
